REINS bill to expand congressional power over executive regulations passed by House

"It's surprising that the REINS Act has not gotten more public attention, or raised more alarm over the federal government becoming even more partisan, gridlocked, corrupt and just plain broken."

“The REINS Act would undermine our ability to protect children from harmful toys, prevent asthma and lung ailments resulting from pollution, and ensure that our small businesses can compete fairly in the marketplace,” he added. “At the same time, it would force Congress to play a larger role in the regulatory process, leading to even more gridlock in Washington.”

"Rep. Ben Quayle (R-Ariz.), argued that if Congress can stop rules in their tracks, businesses will flourish." Yeah.. maybe the asbestos and lead paint business.
